As a mobile fitness professional who has been around the traps for long enough I am constantly hit with messages from people with a barrow to push about the latest and greatest way of training.
These days everyone is an internet expert
The fitness industry is constantly re-inventing the wheel because sooner or later the knowledge about how to get fit, stay in shape and lose fat becomes common knowledge.
This would equate to a decline in the demand for our services, unless of course we are actually good at what we do.
A lot of self proclaimed fitness experts will have you believe that training methodologies that have worked for the last 30 years do not work…
The behavior is purely a (clever..?) business strategy
Its a way of rustling up some business.
The truth is out there
As a Sydney Mobile Personal Trainer who has participated in fitness for over 25 years and been involved in Martial Art for just as long I know the truth to be simple.
How do I know?
Well I do it week in week out, have done for years and I have seen the results first hand and in fact lost 30 kg after an injury left me unable to walk for 6 months back in 1999.
The main ingredient in losing weight or fat is to eat within your calorie allowance consistently and adhere to a well designed exercise plan 4-6 times a week.
